Come as a flapper or come as you are. Dress as a gangster or silent screen star. It's going to be fun, no matter the dress. Just bring yourself and we'll do the rest!
We're going to change things up a bit this year, so please make note of the following information. You might even want to print this out and bring it with you!
1. Dessert Dash - we are looking for dessert donations, please call us if you'd like to donate a dessert - 970-532-4200
Instead of having a dessert auction this year, we'll be having a Dessert Dash. The dessert dash involves each table combining their money/credit cards to claim one of the delicious desserts available at the gala. The table with the largest dollar amount gets first chance at dashing to the dessert table and picking the dessert of their choice! To get your chance at the most delectable, scrumptious dessert, simply complete the dessert dash card on your table! Be careful though, you'll need the highest dollar amount to be the first table called and be fast to get your favorite dessert because the next winning table number will be called quickly? thus, the DASH part of the Dessert Dash! One designated person from your table will "dash" up and get the dessert. There will be enough desserts for each table to "win" one.
More instructions will be provided at the table at the Gala. We will be accepting credit cards by providing you with a credit card slip inside the envelope.
2. Ticket Auction - we are looking for donations, please bring your auction item to the chamber office by Monday, January 20th. Must have before NOON!
Basic concept - Part one: we are seeking donations for prizes for the ticket auction. At the time of the event, the prizes are put on display on tables for guests to peruse. In front of each prize is a designated vessel to hold the tickets for each prize.
Part two: participants purchase tickets and each ticket is used as a "bid" for a chance to win the items of their choosing. If someone really wants to win one particular prize, they might put most or all of their tickets in that lot to try to win that prize, or they could spread their tickets out among all of the prizes
At the conclusion of "bidding" phase, a "drawing" is held to draw the winners. The auction stage is really like a series of drawings. One winning ticket is drawn for each auction item. The more tickets a person deposits into each basket, the higher their chance will be to win the item. Participants who bought a lot of tickets and bid on several items might win many times.
Each person who attends the gala will be getting one free $1 ticket.
Tickets will sell for: 6 tickets for $5 or $1 each
For the larger donated items, tickets will be selling for $5 each.
3. Wine Pull - we are looking for bottles of wine to be donated (can be any dollar amount). Please bring to the chamber office by Monday, January 20. Must have by NOON.
Each bottle will be placed in a sealed wine bag, so the label cannot be seen. A person buys a numbered cork from a basket and wins the corresponding bottle of wine. Some of the bottles may be valued at more than $20 and some may be valued at less. We'll write your name on the tag of the wine bottle bag and at the end of the evening, you'll be able to come collect your "paid for" wine bottle. Feel free to buy more than one.
Wine Pull corks $20 each.
